OUGD404: Type Journal

Another very decorative font designed to impress first and convey information second. Lead cast and with extra details ad flourishes, the tail of the R and the G become an underline for the word, making the whole type appear very ribbon like and fluid. In contrast the Sourdough starter type below is very stiff, tall and appears to be stone/roman type. It’s rigid, tall and very balanced and rather minimal, only slightly softened by the tapering of strokes and looks even more inflexible and basic when placed below the overly ornamental Gold Rush type.
