OUGD404: Type Journal

This wood origin font appears on a set of small drawers that I own. It's gothic, san serif and strong. Motivational in character it attempts to be neutral and balanced as well as impartial. Due to the san serif nature and the thickness of the type the message's tone doesn't come across as patronising but rather an demand, an instruction. It's stands out and expects you to do something. The san serif typeface works well a a header and title font but the sheer boldness of it makes it unsuitable for body copy.
