OUGD404: Type Journal

This transitional san serif type was chosen because of its lack of tone and personality. It’s there to show you where the fire exit is, in an emergency the way a message is told is the least important matter. That being said the bold thick stems and even strokes do give this type a dominant type of voice, its not questioning the audience, it’s telling them something. The boldness of it also lends to it being read easily from varying distances and makes the message clear and straight forward, there’s very little room for interpretation or doubt.
