This type example comes from the TV series Firefly, it's a script font looking like it has origins in bone (the controlled nature of the glyphs feel more calligraphic than sable, and the more subtle tapering of each stroke supports this). It feels human, common and ever so slightly historical- this works well with the series as, despite it being a science fiction, it feels an awful lot more like a western. This font would not be suitable for body copy, it's far too decorative, however as a title font (or product font) it is distinctive enough to be recognised by the public.
